In this course, you will transform the way to see typography in daily life and in practice through understanding of principles and practice. You will learn the fundamentals to create appealing and purposeful application of typography.
This course will also equip you with the essential techniques that allow you to further push the boundary to express creativity through typography through various media. Typography is the art and technique of selecting and manipulating visual forms of written language to enrich its meaning and serve a creative purpose.
Typography is present in design projects of various media, whether it be print, digital, motion or brand identity. Predating modern design by around 500 years; typography is affluent in terminologies, conventions and techniques yet still is an exciting playground for innovative and experimental expression.
Giang Nguyen is a designer & educator based in Saigon, Vietnam. He specializes in branding, graphic design, digital design, type design & generative design. Rarely spotted in the wild, his natural habitat is either at a pocket-sized design firm called Behalf, or a classroom of RMIT University, where he teaches digital media.

Giang’s Professional Works
Republish is a self-initiated and exploratory project by Behalf Studio. The project seeks to investigate the typographic remnants, hidden in the apertures of urban landscape and archived materials, and revive them into digital typefaces. Available on Adobe Fonts.
